For most of you that followed the Raptors on Sportsnet, you probably know the analyst with that great Raspy voice “Jack Armstrong” – HELLO.
While working for Rogers Sportsnet, I was fortunate enough to have a great parking spot right in front of the Sportsnet entrance at 9 Channel Nine Court. It was labelled reserved 24 hours so I would not have to park long distances away in case I was working late or coming from our downtown Rogers head office.
One evening around 4:30 I returned and there was a car parked in my spot. I did not recognize the car so left a note saying please observe the 24 hour reserved sign in the future.
Later that evening, I got a visit from the one and only Jack Armstrong who came in apologizing for parking in the spot. He had a great answer. He said he didn’t think executives worked passed 4:00 so I would not be returning. He is such a genuine and down to earth gentleman and told him it would be my honor if he needed to use the spot in the future.
