Bobby Orr Signed Framed Stats Jersey
I attended the Rogers Solution Golf Tournament which was attended by many athletes. The dinner had a live auction with Marcel Dionne acting as auctioneer. The Bobby Orr Large Numbered Signed Framed Stats Jersey including 2 iconic 8 by 10’s was a featured item.
The opening Bid was $900 so I quickly raised my hand and bid $900. Immediately Michel Goulet(Quebec Nordiques Hall of Famer) who was sitting across the room went “ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS”. It was obvious Michel had a few drinks that night so Marcel said “ Michel, you don’t have 1 thousand dollars”. He screamed out again “ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS”. Marcel said okay and looked at me and I went $1,100 and Marcel immediately said sold. I have to thank Michel as I believe there were other bidders waiting for going once, going twice but I think Marcel was concerned with Michel's bidding.
