Labatt’s Blue Ltd Beer Bottle NYR signed by Messier

Labatt’s had done up sets of Stanley Cups, Beer Caps, Beer Cans and now 6 original six full beer bottles with the Stanley Cup years on them. This year at the Canada Sport's Hall of Fame Dinner, Mark Messier was one of the inductees. I really needed him to sign a few items for my collection and rarely does a signing. I turned to my regulars who normally would help me bid on items in silent auctions but did not want to ask them to help me here as they are commentators/analysts. I asked a young producer at the time (Rob) if he would ask Mark to sign the bottle. He asked why I wouldn’t and I told him I had a commemorative silver puck(thanks RBJ) that I wanted him to sign and did not want to ask him to sign both. Rob reluctantly agreed and to this day, he still reminds me what I made him do. He is now the VP Production at Sportsnet.
