Framed Team Canada 1972 36 Signed Team Card Set
I have a lot of items I collected over the years related to the 1972 Summit Series but never was able to get anything that was signed by Gary Bergman and Bill Goldsworthy as they had passed so soon after before a lot of special items were produced.
This 36 piece Card Set was very limited and with the help of the COO of Canada Sports Hall of Fame, she was able to put me in touch with the late Michael Burgess (former singer Les Miserables).
He invited me to his Condo to see his whole collection, and I did purchase his 36 Card Framed team set. I noticed he had signed baseballs from many of the opening anthems he sang in plain plastic cases. I did go back and brought him some mahogany glass cases for some of his really unique baseballs so it displayed better. I really wanted a photo with him but he was wearing significant amount of bandages on his face at the time so I didn’t want to ask him. As we had a mutual friend from the Hall of Fame, he did call me a few times with questions about some of the items he had and what to do with them. He was a very nice gentleman and very talented.
